Johnny Depp to star in second Whitey Bulger biopic; plus more movie headlines

Whitey Bulger, the notorious Boston mobster who lived anonymously on Grand Isle for a time before being collared by the feds, is getting yet another biopic. Johnny Depp is attached to play Bulger in "Black Mass," as the film will be titled, with Barry Levinson directing, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

It's the second Bulger biopic in in the works in Hollywood. The other - a yet-untitled project that would star Matt Damon as Bulger -- is being developed as a directing vehicle for Ben Affleck. The Damon-Affleck project -- their first major collaboration since their Oscar-winning "Good Will Hunting" -- was supposed to start shooting in 2012 but has apparently been put on hold amid Affleck's Oscar run for "
