Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis are getting back together, but only in the record studio as the French actress has confirmed her ex boyfriend will be featuring on her next album.

The couple, who split last year after 14 years together, have reportedly stayed close since the break up for the sake of their children Lily Rose and Jack. So much so the Pirates of the Caribbean star is going to be collaborating on her new record, Love Song, due out next month with track New Year, which credits Vanessa and Johnny as well as their daughter Lily Rose as creators.

The 40 year old recently hinted the record would include tracks about her personal life and perhaps the break up in a recent interview about her latest work.

"Of course in the disc, you could see the genesis of what has happened to me in my private life ... But it can apply to everyone on the planet, right? " she told Liberation Next magazine recently.

"But what do they want to know? If escaping [from my private life] provided a record, a film, it's great, right?"

However in an interview with Elle magazine last year, Vanessa claimed she wouldn't "sell her soul," over her break up.

"I don't want to talk about him," she claimed. "Who said that artists should se! ll their soul, expose everything about themselves? It's my duty to promote this movie, and my albums, but can you imagine what it feels like to see people making a business out of your pain."

Hinting at what broke the couple up last year she explained: "I don't have the recipe for happiness, but I think the engine is simply having the desire,"

"It's not feeling obliged or forced or repeating yourself."

She went on: "I hate, for example, whenever you hear someone say: 'You have work at being a couple,'" "No, you have to want to be thereAnd for me, I want to be right where I am right now.'"

Since the split Johnny has been linked to Rum Diaries co-star Amber Heard.
