Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer in new 'Lone Ranger' trailer - watch

Johnny Depp has featured in a brand new trailer for The Lone Ranger.

The Social Network's Armie Hammer stars in Gore Verbinski's upcoming action Western as John Reid, a lawman who becomes the legendary Lone Ranger.

Depp portrays Native American warrior Tonto, who teams up with the Lone Ranger to fight corruption.

Helena Bonham Carter, Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner and James Badge Dale also star in the TV show reboot, with Wilkinson playing the villainous Latham Cole.

The Lone Ranger is released in the US on July 3 and in the UK on August 9.

A series of character posters for the Western were recently unveiled by Disney.
