Johnny Depp joins Marilyn Manson on Carly Simon cover of 'You're So Vain' on Manson's upcoming LP

Marilyn Manson just got an unlikely collaborator Johnny Depp.

Manson, 43, and Depp, 48 are old friends, and Depp will be joining Manson on a cover of cover of Carly Simon's "You're So Vain on the rockers upcoming LP Born Villain.

According to Rolling Stone, Manson will release Born Villain on his Hell, Etc. label along with Cooking Vinyl/Downtown Records.

For those who are surprised by Manson and Depps friendship, Depp took the musician with him for the premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest in Disneyland.

The Huffington Post first reported the collaboration, and they are quick to point out that this isnt the first between the actor and Manson.

They also joined forces for the song "The Nobodies" which was in Depp's 2001 movie, From Hell.

May 1 will mark Mansons release of his eighth studio album, while Depp has his own music background to be proud of. He has joined music great such as Eddie Vedder, ZZ Top and Keith Richards on stage, MTV News reports.

He was also part of the rock band the Kids when he was a teenager in Florida.

Youre so Vain was written by Simon, as well as performed by the music icon.
