Moab to host casting call for Depp's 'The Lone Ranger'

MOAB A Los Angeles-based casting company will hold an open casting call Sunday in Moab for Johnny Depp's latest film.
Sande Alessi Casting is looking for background extras for "The Lone Ranger." The movie is scheduled to shoot in Colorado and Utah in June and July.
Casting directors are looking for men or women, age 18 and older. They are also specifically looking for: people with "incredibly interesting character faces," Native American men and women, Asian men and women, individuals who are "extremely thin" and those who weigh 400 pounds or more, and men who are 7 feet 1 inch tall or taller, according to a press release from the company.
The casting call will be held at the Moab Valley Inn, 711 S. Main, beginning at 10 a.m.
Depp will star as Tonto in Jerry Bruckheimer's remake of "The Lone Ranger." Armie Hammer, whose film credits include "Mirror, Mirror," "J. Edgar," and "The Social Network," will take on the title role.
