Johnny Depp to cameo on Family Guy
Johnny Depp is to reprise his Edward Scissorhands role on Family Guy.
The Hollywood superstar will make a guest appearance, voicing his character from Tim Burton's 1990 film, in an upcoming episode of Seth MacFarlane's animated Fox comedy, reported Entertainment Weekly.
Johnny - who "amicably split" from ex-girlfriend Vanessa Paradis last month after a 14-year relationship - has already recorded his role, and according to the show's executive producer Mark Hentemann, it didn't take long for him to get back into the alter-ego from two decades ago.
"When he was in the booth, he said that he felt like he hadn't done that voice since he did it in front of the camera. He was able to snap right back into Edward Scissorhands once we pulled up a clip from the movie," Mark said.
"He was amazing - and demonstrated extraordinary patience with all the fawning women in our office who swarmed him," he added.
Family Guy, which also features the voices of Mila Kunis and Seth Green, returns for its 11th season in the States on September 30.
