Rebecca Hall Set To Join Johnny Depp In New Sci-Fi Transcendence
Rebecca Hall is set to star alongside Johnny Depp in Wally Pfister's directorial debut Transcendence.
The Vicky Cristina Barcelona star has beaten the likes of Rooney Mara and Emily Blunt to the part, with those two at one time linked to the role.
The sci-fi will see Depp star as a man who uploads his brain to a super-computer, and is hotly anticipated, coming as it is from Christopher Nolan's Oscar wining cinematographer Pfister.
Hall has grabbed the role alongside Depp in the film, which will also star Paul Bettany, according to Collider.

Hall's career is now on a steep upward curve, as she's set to star in superhero blockbuster Iron Man 3, after starring in Lay The Favourite in 2012.
The film will see a rare move into the sci-fi genre for Depp, who's built a reputation as a swashbuckler alongside his earlier sensitive image, which will no doubt be built on as he stars in The Lone Ranger later this year.
Pfister's reputation as a cinematographer is second to none, as the American film maker is the man behind the look of all of Christopher Nolan's iconic hits, from Memento to Inception and the Batman trilogy.
