Johnny Depp up to tricks at gig

The Tricks have told how Johnny Depp came to their gigs in disguise.

The London-based guitar band are signed to a label in the US, owned by the Hollywood stars best friend.

Joel Hodge, whos in the group with his brother Ashley, as well as John Bisset and Eliot Crabtree, said theyd met the Pirates Of The Caribbean actor a few times, adding: He came to one of our gigs, in disguise, and weve been out for meals and things with him.

Hes a lovely guy, really normal.

The band, who formed two years ago, recently recorded tracks in an amazing studio in Los Angeles.

Eliot said: We really believe in what we do. We know that not every band makes it, so if we didnt think we were good, we wouldnt be bothering.

• The Tricks release their debut double A-side single Just For The Summer/Remember Me on February 6, and tour the UK from January 27, beginning in Manchester.
