Vanessa Paradis - Vanessa Paradis Breaks Silence On Johnny Depp Split Rumors

Vanessa Paradis made an appearance at the opening night of her new film, Cafe de Flore, in Paris last night (January 23, 2012), without her long-term partner Johnny Depp. Her solo appearance at the film premiere further fuelled rumors that the couple are going their separate ways.

When she was quizzed about the possible end of her 15-year partnership with the Hollywood actor, Vanessa simply referred to the fact that all of her actions were scrutinised by the press: "You know, when I eat three peas, I'm pregnant. When I visit a city, I'm buying a house." According to a report in The Telegraph, Vanessa did not refer to Johnny Depp by name but in discussing the nature of Cafe de Flore, the state of her relationship with him seemed to resonate in what she said: "Cafe De Flore speaks of love, its joys, its pains and its dramas - to love and to lose. This story upset me, I was upside-down, in the depths of myself." She also said that she did not believe in marriage (Depp and Paradis are not married, despite many assuming that they are, as they have been together so long), or in the idea of a soul mate, saying "if you lose your soul mate everything is done for."

Vanessa Paradis first rose to fame in the music industry when she was just 14 years old, with the song 'Joe le Taxi.' She started dating Johnny Depp in 1998 and they have two children together. It is understood that Depp is due to travel to New Mexico next month to start filming The Lone Ranger. Neither Depp nor Paradis have released a statement regarding their relationship status.
