Johnny Depp bought Amber Heard a horse.

I'm guessing it wasn't gift wrapped.

E! News reported Friday that Depp -- who recently split from longtime partner Vanessa Paradis -- just wanted to buy a gift for his "The Rum Diary" co-star.

Depp has been riding a horse while shooting "The Lone Ranger" on location in New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado, and now the 26-year-old Texas native Heard can join him. You know, next time she and her new horse are in the neighborhood.

The actress, who dated female photographer Tasya van Ree for several years, has been quite open about her affinity for Depp, according to E! News. She was quoted last year as saying that working with him "is everything you'd hope working with Johnny Depp would be. He's absolutely amazing, as far as his talent and him as a person."

Now she probably likes him even more.
