Johnny Depp Devastated As Vanessa Paradis Romances Musician

Johnny Depp has been hurt by news that former love Vanessa Paradis has not only moved on with a new love but that she has something special with him.

The couple, who were together for 14 years announced their split last week after leading separate lives for several months. While Depp has been linked to Rum Diaries co-star Amber Heard and his publicist Robin Baum it seems that Vanessa is the one who has actually found something special with musician Mattieu Chedid.

"This is the end now. They're both upset and dreaded their split being so dissected in public, a source told Closer magazine.

They've both been linked with other people, but Johnny is hurt Vanessa actually seems to have something with her new guy.

While they expected rumours of love interests, 48 year-old Depp is said to have been devastated that Vanessa has formed such an attachment to Mattieu so quickly.

Meanwhile sources close to Johnny claim the actor is desperate to remain single and have some fun.

A source told RadarOnline: "[Johnny's] not embroiled in some hot and heavy new romance and he has no plans to jump into something straight away."
