Do you remember seeing Johnny Depp swashbuckling through Ohio as he ran for president?
Neither do we.
Mitt Romney and Barack Obama basically set up residence here for most of the election season. But Captain Jack Sparrow? The Black Pearl never graced Cleveland Harbor.
And what about Charlie Sheen? Anythings possible with that guy, and its not a stretch to imagine a Tiger Blood Party elbowing in on the Tea Party, but do you recall seeing a single Charlie Sheen campaign rally in Northeast Ohio?
Winning? He wasnt even running.
Still, at least one Cuyahoga County voter wrote in Depps name, and another Sheens, for president on their ballot.
Those votes were invalid because you cant just write in a persons name. Even write-in candidates have to file valid paperwork to be eligible for write-in votes. And since theres no count of invalid votes, we have no idea how many votes they got.
But the actors werent alone.

According to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections, voters wrote in:
Hillary Clinton (Four years too soon, perhaps?)
Ron Paul (Where were you in the Republican primaries?)
Lady Gaga (A meat dress in every closet!)
Donald Trump (Wig party nominee?)! p>
Seinfeld characters Sid Farkas and Lloyd Braun (Theirs was a campaign about nothing!)
Voters also wrote in Jesus Christ, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and a slew of past presidents and vice presidents including Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Dan Quayle and even former presidents who have reached the ultimate term limit: John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan.
