After Johnny Depp split, Vanessa Paradis talks about love and being unhappy

Vanessa Paradis has been talking about relationships following her split from Johnny Depp, describing how love can make you miserable.

Vanessa and Johnny were together for 14 years before they announced their separation in June and, even though they've both kept quiet about what went wrong, Vanessa has shed a little light on how she views romance.

Sometimes you could be in an unhappy relationship,' explains Vanessa, 39.

You are very much in love with someone, but it's making you unhappy and you think things can change and you can work it out.

Love is the strongest and most fragile thing we have in life. Nothing is ever for sure, but when something in love doesn't work from the beginning, it's never going to work. Don't push it.'

The singer and actress has two kids with Johnny - Lily-Rose, 13, and Jack, 10 - and she admits that their priority is to keep their family-orientated' life.

Johnny, 49, is now rumoured to want a reconciliation and it's easy to see why Vanessa fell for him in the first place.

My type is obviously creative,' she tells Harper's Bazaar.

Creative, with burning eyes and a pretty mouth.'
