Are Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis on the road to reconciliation? While the couple announced their split earlier this year after 14 years together it seems that they are getting on better than ever as they reunited at their French mansion with their two children Lily Rose and Jack last month.

The couple, who announced in May that they had been actually apart for months even held hands at one point in the weekend as they enjoyed quality time with their family. The source insisted that they are not getting back together, it seems they are making every effort to make the split easier on their children.

A source told Us Weekly: "They were both relieved they got along well,"

"They were joking around," local Sofia DeCout told the publication when the family visited the Plan de la Tour market near their $5 million mansion (July 19).

"At one point, Johnny held Vanessa's hand!"

The insider confirmed that Johnny is still in a relationship with 'Rum Diaries' co-star Amber Heard.

The couple are rumoured to have been seeing each other quietly for a few months, with the blonde visiting the actor on set in New Mexico for his next movie.
